Join our Naturalists to visualize the lives of the original Homesteaders along this 2.3 mile hike of the Fountain Valley Trail. Enjoy learning about the families, their histories, and their legacies that led to the creation of Roxborough State Park. Bring water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear for the weather and trail conditions.

Mike T - ALL Roxborough State Park Volunteers
I retired in 2016 after 33 years in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety Consulting where I worked for clients and internally, all over the world. In my spare time, I am an avid hiker and backpacker but also bike, fish, garden, golf, play pickle ball, and many other things. I have been in Colorado since 1984 and a volunteer at Roxborough State Park since 2015. I am involved in raptor monitoring, Leave No Trace, History, and the Colorado Natural Areas Program among other things.
