Education and Outreach - All Ages
Discover Lory State Park at night under the light of the full moon! Learn hidden wildlife secrets that you would never find during the day. An experienced naturalist will guide you along Well Gulch Trail and share some of their nocturnal knowledge with you. Meet at the start of Well Gulch Trail, across the road from the South Eltuck Parking lot at 7:30 p.m. The light from the full moon should be bright enough to hike without flashlights but in case you do need one please follow our leave no trace principals: 1. Use flashlights that can be pointed downwards at the trail 2. Please do not use headlamps, they have the tendency to blind other participants. 3. We encourage the use of red light since it has less of an impact on night vision for both humans and animals.
Maximum Participants: 20Registration is required for this activity. Click "register" to reserve your spot.
