Always wanted to learn about plants from an expert? Are you a plant parent wanting to get outside? Come join us for a wildflower hike during Lory's super bloom. You will learn about all the plants and flowers that call Lory home! Where: Meet at the Well Gulch trailhead (park in the South Eltuck Parking lot) What to bring: Water, snacks, sun-protection and layers. We will provide guide books and waterjugs. This is a free program with a valid Colorado State Parks pass (KCW, $10 day pass, or CPS annual pass).

Worked 5 years as a National Forest Service Wilderness Patrol volunteer out of Idyllwild California. Worked 5 years as a San Diego Natural History Museum "Canyoneers" Naturalist volunteer, leading interpretive hikes around San Diego County.

Retired horticulturist. My most recent job was managing the greenhouse operations at the Gardens on Spring Creek. I also taught Greenhouse Management classes at Front Range Community College. I have been enjoying leading wildflower programs at Lory State Park and have compiled 2 wildflower booklets covering most commonly seen wildflowers in Lory State Park.
