Join volunteer naturalist Rick, at the Prairie Falcon Amphitheater to discuss black bears, their nature, and how to ensure safety for them and us! This program will last an hour and is recommended for all ages.

I am a USAF retiree, but still working full-time. At the park, I’m a volunteer Interpretive Ranger (Naturalist), Trail Ambassador, Lead Mountain Bike Instructor, and work at the Visitor Center front desk at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Leading hikes in my favorite volunteer activity. Because I still have a regular job, I don’t get to work at the park as much as I’d like to. My regular job pays the bills, but working at the park brings me peace. I love it.
