Always wanted to explore the incredible world of birds but not sure how to start? Or, do you have a child fascinated by birds who wants to learn more? Join us for a talk about birding gear, guides, identification tips and online resources. Then, take your new knowledge on the trail for a beginning birder’s hike. Presenter: Lori Pivonka, Fort Collins Audubon Society Ages 8 and up. Participants under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult Location: South Eltuck Picnic Area Program is free with a valid state parks pass(KCW, $10 day pass, or Colorado State Park Annual Pass) Bring: Water, snacks, binoculars or monoculars and dress for the weather and trail conditions, including sturdy, closed-toe hiking shoes
