Education and Outreach - Adults (ages 18 & up)

REGISTRATION REQUIRED Join us for a photography workshop led by local photographers from the Southern Colorado Photography Society. This class is the perfect opportunity for photographers of all levels, and with any type of equipment, to explore the park's diverse and stunning landscapes. Practice capturing the beauty of Lake Pueblo through photography with the help of expert guidance. The workshop will begin with a helpful lecture in the Visitor Center Auditorium, after which students will be directed to the Rock Canyon area of the park for an opportunity to practice their skills. This will be followed by a break, during which participants can eat a picnic lunch, before returning to the auditorium to get feedback on their photographs. Equipment and lunch will not be provided. Students should plan to pack a picnic lunch or head into town to grab a bite to eat. The lunch break will be approximately one hour. During lunch, our photography experts will be hosting a lunch and learn at the Visitor Center. Feel free to join them with your packed lunch for a chance to "talk shop". While no cameras or photography equipment will be provided, cameras of all types (even a cellphone) are welcome. Participants who are planning to join us during the afternoon for feedback should consider what format their photographs are in. A computer with an HDMI port and a SD card reader will be available. Students can also email their photographs to the park's Interpretive Naturalist. During the feedback portion, participants' photos will be projected in the auditorium, providing an opportunity for constructive feedback.
