Junior Rangers: Stars and Space

Calling all curious, nature-loving kids! Join our Junior Ranger programs! This is a hands-on hour designed to spark a love for the outdoors and build real ranger skills in a fun, interactive way. Junior Rangers will carry a nature journal to record their observation and exploration of the natural world as we do activities and short hikes. Junior Rangers will learn about space, the stars and planets, as well as the different constellations that span the sky! Where: South Eltuck Picnic Area What to bring: water bottle, snack, weather-appropriate clothing, a sense of adventure. This is a free event with a State Parks Pass (KCW, Annual, or Daily).

I love Lory! I attended programs with my daughter when she was young, and then decided to start volunteering during school breaks. I work at school in special education, and love spending my summers at the parks with kids and folk of all ages. My hope is that you will fall in love with the park like I have.

Margaret is passionate about Nature, educating the public and stewardship. Previously,, Margaret was a Volunteer for Open Lands and Trails with the City of Loveland. She was in environmental education, trail building, building informative nature walks and story telling. Margaret enjoys working with the public and children ages 3-up. Additionally, Margaret served as a Butterfly Monitor at Lory State Park.
