Discover Lory State Park at night under the light of the full moon! The flower moon will illuminate the secrets of the park after dark. Learn about the wildlife that come awake during the night and the adaptations that allow them to survive the dark. Where: Well Gulch Trailhead Difficulty: This is an easy to moderate 1.7 mile hike on a single track dirt trail. We will gain about 300 feet of elevation. Appropriate for ages 10+. What to bring: -Water bottle -Sturdy hiking shoes - Flash light/Headlamp -Layers -Camera This is a free program with a Colorado State Parks Pass (KCW, Annual, or Daily)

Margaret is passionate about Nature, educating the public and stewardship. Previously,, Margaret was a Volunteer for Open Lands and Trails with the City of Loveland. She was in environmental education, trail building, building informative nature walks and story telling. Margaret enjoys working with the public and children ages 3-up. Additionally, Margaret served as a Butterfly Monitor at Lory State Park.
