Habitat Project - All Ages
Help us #LeaveNoTrash at Lathrop State Park on Saturday, April 19th at 9:00 am. This Earth Day we are restoring the health and beauty of nature by cleaning up the trash left behind. Besides making a place ugly, trash is very harmful to wildlife and our environment: wildlife get sick when they eat it, they get hurt when they are caught up in trash, and trash can leak toxins into soil and groundwater. So bring your family and friends and show our planet a little love for Earth Day! Registration is required. We will meet at the Visitor Center at 9:00 am for a safety debrief. Bring water and sunscreen, and dress in layers for changing weather conditions. Park staff will provide latex gloves and trash bags. Please email [email protected] or call the park at 719-738-2376 ext. 4 if you have questions.
