Leave No Trace Awareness Workshop

Do you enjoy the outdoors? Do you want to ensure your favorite places stay as beautiful as they are now? Come out to Highline Lake for a half-day Leave No Trace Workshop. Our instructors will teach you about the 7 Leave No Trace Principles while guiding you through practical skills that will help you apply the principles anywhere you adventure. This awareness workshop will take approximately 4 hours and participants will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end. The workshop will begin in the Visitor Center at 9am. Please bring comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and water. This program is free to attend, but a valid day pass or annual pass is required to enter the park. Free passes are available through the Mesa County Libraries as part of the “Check out Colorado State Parks” backpack program.
