Become a community scientist for a day! Join us for a hands-on herptile (reptile and amphibian) survey where you will work alongside experts from the Reptile and Amphibian Center of the Rockies to help document and monitor local reptile and amphibian species. Where: We will meet at the Lory State Park Visitor Center Difficulty: This will be an OFF-TRAIL survey, which means that there is a possibility for snake holes, ticks, and steep slopes. What to bring: -Long pants -Long socks -Closed-toe hiking shoes - Water - Sun protection - snacks **No experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty! This is open to ages 7 and up. This is a free program with a valid Colorado State Parks Pass.
