ROBERT P - Naturalist

After spending ten years with the EPA writing Environmental Impact Statements, I spent twenty years at the US Naval Academy as supervisor of the gardeners and greenhouses. Since 1986, I've led natural history hikes in the Shenandoah National Park and mid-Atlantic region for various organizations and Native Plant Societies. Arriving here in 2019, I'm now leading hikes for Fort Collins, Loveland, Larimer County, the Colorado Native Plant Society and Lory State Park. I love sharing nature!

Retired horticulturist. My most recent job was managing the greenhouse operations at the Gardens on Spring Creek. I have taught horticulture classes at Front Range Community College and the Gardens at Spring Creek. I enjoy getting young people excited about nature and assisting with school programs at Lory. I have lead many wildflower programs and have compiled a wildflower booklet covering most commonly seen wildflowers in Lory State Park.
