Are YOU batty for bats?? Even if you aren't, you might be after this program! Come join us at the park for a special presentation about Colorado's bat species! Our guest presenter, Melyssa Riggs, is a CPW employee and bat expert! Having field experience working with bats, Melyssa is excited to share her knowledge and passion about this unique animal! The program will begin with a brief presentation about bats, including interpretive specimens and bat artifacts, and conclude with a night hike up Well Gulch Nature Trail. This is an easy to moderate 1.7-mile hike on a single-track dirt trail. We will gain about 300 feet of elevation. Appropriate for ages 10+. What to bring: -Water bottle -Sturdy hiking shoes - Flash light/Headlamp -Layers -Camera This program is free with a valid state parks pass (daily, annual, KCW)!
