Indigenous Storytelling

 06/12/2026  |  09:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Mueller State Park  |  Registration Required

Join DarkSky Colorado and the Sacred Tree Council for an evening under the stars with Indigenous storytellers who will share tales of the night sky. Guests will meet at 9 pm in the visitor center for a brief orientation and introductions. We will then head out into the parking lot where we will divide into three groups. Each group will spend 15-20 minutes at every station, where we will listen to stories from members of the Indigenous community, gaze at the stars and discover what Mueller State Park is doing to become a certified international dark sky place. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a flashlight or headlamp, preferably one with a red setting. Bring water, snacks and a camping chair. Meet at the Visitor Center. Registration is required for this event.
