Description: Colorado Ecology guided walk is a hike in Cheyenne Mountain State Park focused on ecology principles and geographic concepts that control the environment in Colorado. Join Park Naturalist Sam Owens on the 1-2 hour guided walk from the Limekiln trailhead. Learn more about the environment around us and the conditions that influence it. Reservations are available on CPW connect, but walk-ins are allowed. No fee is needed for the walk, but the entry fee to the park is still required. Walk will commence rain or shine, so participants are advised to come prepared for weather and trail conditions. Appropriate footwear and clothing is needed, as the trail is not paved. Audience: All ages welcome to participate, but please keep in mind the distance and time requirements may be challenging for younger visitors. Dogs not allowed on program Fee: Park entry fee required Time duration: 1-2 hours maximum, although under an hour is possible based on walk dynamics. Start time: 10:00AM Location: Lime Kiln Parking lot just off the first let junction after the main park entrance.
