How do your senses stack up against those of our park’s wildlife? Find out by joining Ranger Rick at Camper Services for a gentle 1 mile hike that will test your senses. This program is intended for ages 7 up. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. The program is limited to 20 slots. You will be notified in the case of any changes or cancellations. Free event, park pass required.

I am a USAF retiree, but still working full-time. At the park, I’m a volunteer Interpretive Ranger (Naturalist), Trail Ambassador, Lead Mountain Bike Instructor, and work at the Visitor Center front desk at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Leading hikes in my favorite volunteer activity. Because I still have a regular job, I don’t get to work at the park as much as I’d like to. My regular job pays the bills, but working at the park brings me peace. I love it.
