Public weekend fly fishing basic classes at Mueller

Learn how to fly fish and how it’s different from other styles like bait fishing, trolling, and spinning. Use your new or seasoned skills to try to catch a fish at one of Mueller’s favorite ponds. All gear is provided.

A park pass is required per each vehicle and can be purchased at the Visitor center between 9am-4pm. Bring water, a camp chair and sun protection since half of the class is taught in the Dragonfly Pond parking lot with little shade. A vault toilet is available at the lot.

Registration is required for weekend classes to ensure there are enough rods for everyone. Weekday classes are first come, first serve.

This class is for ages 10 and older.
