General CPW staff support in the Monte Vista area. Volunteers may work with local district wildlife managers or other area staff on a variety of projects as needed.
Volunteer alongside CPW staff and assist with daily care of injured and orphaned wildlife. Primarily this entails cage/pen cleaning, feeding and occasional animal transport. Training in several areas is required in advance.
Volunteer alongside CPW staff on maintenance and construction projects around the Frisco Creek Wildlife Facility.
Projects can include anything from spraying weeds and shoveling snow to fence construction and maintenance/construction of animal pens and cages. Advanced experience with maintenance and construction is helpful.
Help keep up Russell Lakes State Wildlife Area! Pick up shot gun shells and trash, upkeep restrooms, keep head gates cleaned out, and more.
