Campground Host


Description:
This high meadow park with large reservoir is located at 8600 feet in elevation. Volunteer hosts assist with day-to-day park functions, including but not limited to: checking campers in, fee collection, maintaining clean campgrounds and facilities (campsites & bathrooms), providing first aid when necessary, light-duty maintenance and trash pickup, and alerting park staff to problems or suspicious situations. Hosts must be able to lift up to 75lbs. Good public relations skills are required. Campground host sites are equipped with 30 amp electrical service, water, and sewer hookups.
Time Commitment:
20 hours per person per week. Hosts are needed mid-April through end of September.

Naturalist


Description:
We are looking for people who love how they recreate and are willing to share their knowledge and skills to foster a love for the outdoors for current and future generations. Volunteer naturalists coordinate with the park rangers and interpreter to develop fun and exciting workshops, clinics, and programs. They may also assist the park staff in delivering programs to the public, helping to advertise, engaging on social media, and helping to set up programs. This is an exciting opportunity to share your passion and help leave a legacy!

Resident Volunteer - Maintenance


Description:
Clean up park grounds and facilities. Repair fence. Complete special or seasonal maintenance tasks as needed. Carpentry, remodeling or other construction projects (i.e. boat dock repair). Provide landscape design expertise. Make park information signs. Assist with minor vehicle/boat/equipment repairs and maintenance.
Time Commitment:
20 hours per week

Special Projects


Description:
Assist park staff by recruiting and training other volunteers; photograph or video tape park programs, special events or resources; provide equipment, donated funds or expertise on special projects.

Trail Work


Description:
Trails Support/Trail hosting. Assist with the design, building and maintenance of park trails. Perform as crew members or crew leaders on trail construction, renovation, and maintenance. Design or install trail signage.
