Become part of an enthusiastic community that shares your passion. Volunteers are critical in all parts of Fisher's Peak State Park. Volunteer today!
Colorado Parks and Wildlife values the right of every visitor to experience our state's natural beauty. To provide this opportunity to the disabled community, Fishers Peak State Park offers the use of the Action Track Chair, which allow visitors with mobility limitations to explore designated trails within the park.
As a volunteer your responsibilities will be to hike alongside Track Chair participants and ensure they have a safe and educational trip! Trainings usually occur in late spring, and trips run end of May through November on Saturdays-Sundays. Please contact us for more information.
Trail Ambassadors walk, hike, or bike sections of the trails within the park to greet other visitors, answer questions, remind them of safe and responsible trail etiquette, and share park information.

Help is needed for trail maintenance efforts, corridor clearing, and special projects on this premier southern Colorado property. With 14 miles of existing trail to manage, plus additional new trails scheduled for construction in 2025 and beyond, Fishers Peak State Park seeks to build a corps of dedicated volunteers to keep our trails safe, fun, and sustainable!
