Campground Office Assistant


This volunteer position is for our Reverend's Ridge Campground office.

The responsibilities consist of selling passes, giving out park information, and general customer service. Light cleaning as well as a flexible schedule are required. Ideally, volunteers are able to fill in when needed and even help out with campfire programs and spur of the moment interpretative programs for families in the campground. The focus will be on pass sales as well as reservation check in's.

This is not a host position. A camping spot is NOT provided for this position.

Present park interpretive program, such as:

  • campfire talks
  • nature walks
  • multi-media shows
  • living history programs
  • evening programs and others.
  • Lead school group programs on-site.
  • Visit local students in their classrooms or other groups and conduct interpretive programs off-site.
  • Conduct public workshops or classes.
  • Conduct roving interpretive patrols in campgrounds, on park trails, at park facilities, or in the backcountry.

Special Projects


Do you have a special skill that could benefit the park? This volunteer opportunity is for you.

Some of the special projects that people have helped with in the past include:

  • write and develop outdoor interpretive signs for self-guiding trails or roadside exhibits.
  • Recruit other volunteers.
  • Photograph or video tape park programs, special events, visitors, or resources.
  • Assist in planning volunteer recognition or social events.
  • Train other volunteers.
  • Provide equipment, donated funds, or expertise on special projects.
  • Design and create puppets, historical costumes, and more.

Volunteer Host - Campground


Join the team at this beautiful state park! Known for our mountain beauty within an hour of Denver, this opportunity is not to be missed!

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and tidy campsites (empty firepits, wipe down tables, sweep tent pads, etc)
  • Clean and maintain restrooms, campsites, and grounds
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public
  • Assist in the campground office when needed (selling passes and retail products)
  • Other projects based on individual skills

Elevation:

Please note that this is a high mountain park with altitudes ranging from 8,200 to 10,459 feet. These host positions are physically demanding due to the type of tasks and terrain at altitude.

Looking for 4 hosts to fill in our 2025 season!

Pairs, families with children, and people who are still working/in their careers (e.g. working remotely) are welcome to apply. Hosts are welcome to have pets.
