Mountain scenery mingles with magnificent campgrounds at Ridgway State Park. Modern, universally-accessible recreation areas and the five-mile long reservoir make memorable days and nights.
Only 15 miles from the town of Ouray, Ridgway's great outdoors - the "Switzerland of America" - welcomes those from near and far. The park’s popular campgrounds, beautiful reservoir, picnic and playground areas, extensive trails, and diverse wildlife offer year-round activities for all types of outdoor enthusiasts. Come enjoy our swimbeach too!
Whether enjoying the park or a neighboring attraction, there’s no shortage of activities to partake in. Ridgway State Park and this area offer many activities in the winter including tent, RV and Yurt camping, fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing, and local activities include ice climbing, skiing, and snow shoeing.
