Campground hosts are needed in three separate campgrounds to assist with park operations. This spectacular mountain park consists of 71,000 acres and the largest moose herd in Colorado. Volunteer responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: greeting campers, light maintenance, cabin and camp site maintenance, entrance station/visitor center staffing, and assisting the interpretive staff with promoting and possibly presenting interpretive programs and hikes. Electrical hookups are available at the Ranger Lakes Campground; there are also two trailer sites at the park's maintenance compound with full hookups.
Minimum of 20 hours per week, with the majority of those hours occurring on weekends and holidays.

Write and develop outdoor interpretive signs for self-guiding trails or roadside exhibits. Recruit other volunteers. Photograph or video park programs, special events, visitors, or resources. Assist in planning volunteer recognition or social events. Train other volunteers. Provide equipment, donated funds, or expertise on special projects. Design and create puppets, historical costumes, and more.

Assist with design, construction, and maintenance of park trails. Serve as crew member or crew leader on trail construction. renovation and maintenance. Design or install trail signage. Participate in prearranged trail or maintenance days.
