Bear Aware
- Description:
The goal of the Bear Aware team is to teach human responsibility in removing attractants in order to reduce conflicts with black bears in Colorado.
Responsibilities:
Volunteers distribute black bear and mountain lion information in neighborhoods where sightings have occurred. Other tasks may include posting signs, making bear unwelcome mats, and helping at CPW booths around the town of Beulah.
- Time Commitment:
As needed in response to neighborhood issues. Busier season is March - November.
