This is a customer service based position that serves in an entrance station and greet visitors. Daily interaction with park visitors requires effective communication and public relation skills.
Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to: - Provide information and assistance to visitors (distributes maps/brochures, orients visitors to park facilities and amenities, promotes education programs, educates on State Park regulation, educates on State Park regulations, etc.) - Sell daily/annual parks passes and gift certificates. Ability to operate a cash register, collect revenue, complete shift report and balance shift box at end of each shift. May document and report visitor complaints. Clean and maintain interior and exterior of entrance station. Other projects as assigned.
The park will provide training, uniform shirts, hats and name tags.
This means that the applicant lives in or around the area and will commute to the park for their volunteer work.
Flexible, as long as volunteers are willing and able to commit to a schedule.
Assist staff with manning the entrance stations and visitor interactions.
