- Description:
The goal of the Bear Aware team is to teach human responsibility in removing attractants in order to reduce conflicts with black bears in Colorado. The volunteer team may respond to assist officers on active bear calls or distribute black bear information in neighborhoods as sightings occur. Other tasks may include posting signs, making bear unwelcome mats, and helping at CPW booths throughout El Paso County. Training is mandatory.
- Time Commitment:
Flexible but commitment to the season from March to November is required.
