Bellvue Watson Hatchery Host


Description:

The Bellvue-Watson Hatchery produces 1.1 million subcatchable trout including: rainbow trout, Loch Leven-strain brown trout, Snake river cutthroat, greenback cutthroat and splake. Watson Rearing unit produces 280,000 ten-inch cutbows and rainbow trout each year.

Responsibilities:

  • Feed fish
  • Grounds and equipment maintenance
  • Answer visitor questions
  • Lead guided tours of the hatchery
  • Additional tasks as needed

Knowledge of basic hand tools and power equipment desired.

Site elevation:

5,200 ft.

Looking for 1 host for the 2026 season!

Pairs, individuals, families with children, and people who are still working/in their careers (e.g. working remotely) are accepted. Hosts are permitted to have pets.

Time Commitment:

20-30 hours per week, May - August.

Minimum time commitment:

4 months
