Park Improvement Project  - Cherry Creek State Park

Thursday, 26 October 2023 @ 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Habitat Project  -  All Ages

Cherry Creek is one of the busiest state parks in Colorado, and increased visitation can take a toll on the natural resources within this property. Come help us with various park improvements for the best visitor experience while conserving the water, land and wildlife in this popular metropolitan park! We will be installing fencing to prevent visitors from driving into natural areas and we may also work to improve our landscaping at our beautiful Marina. This project is open to the public! If you would like to bring friends or family but don't want to create an account for them, just email Joel Pincomb at [email protected] to let us know how many people you're bringing. Meet at the Marina on the west side of Cherry Creek State Park. If you need help with directions, feel free to reach out to Joel Pincomb in his contact info below. Difficulty: easy to moderate. No experience needed. What to wear and bring: Wear sunscreen, and layers appropriate for weather predictions, including sunglasses, a hat, long pants, and close-toed shoes. Bring work gloves if you have them. Bring at least 1 liter of water and snacks if you so desire. We will take water breaks when necessary and bathrooms are always close by. Staff will provide supplies for the project. Contact: Joel Pincomb, [email protected], Office: 303-766-6584, Cell: 630-674-2994
