Join us for the most wonderful time of the year–leaf peeping at Golden Gate Canyon State Park! Every year people from all over the world come to the park to see the Aspens change colors and we need your help to ensure a safe experience for visitors! In exchange for exclusive 2025 GGCSP Leaf-Peeping swag, we’re seeking volunteers to help monitor busy areas of the park to keep traffic flowing and provide information to visitors. Shifts will be 4 hours each weekend day for the last two weekends of September (20th/ 21st & 27th/ 28th) and the first two weekends of October (4th/ 5th & 11th/ 12th). Multiple shifts are not required, but greatly appreciated! Why? It's important we maintain proper capacity and having a presence in these areas helps mitigate negative impacts to park operations, protects our natural resources, and ensures the safety of our visitors. Horseshoe and Panorama Point are our first priority to fill as they are very high traffic. The remainder of the Shift Capacity slots will be used to support other areas around the park.
