Wildlife Transport Team Training - Northeast Region  - CPW Headquarters

Saturday, 14 March 2026 @ 09:00 AM to 02:30 PM

Orientation or Training

Our Denver Metro Wildlife Transport Team (WTT) helps bridge the gap between injured and orphaned wildlife that is found by the public or staff to the licensed rehabilitators that care for them! This work literally helps save countless lives, but can also be difficult and heartbreaking when some don't make it. With this training, you will learn about how CPW responds, how to handle wildlife safely, along with other best practices. We ask that Wildlife Transport Team Members schedule a minimum of 2 on-call days per month but please note that historically the majority of calls are during the office hours of M-F 8 am - 5 pm. When you are on-call, we ask that you return calls with a 30-minute response time. Transporters are responsible for using their own vehicles and gas costs are not reimbursed. Training will be located at 6060 Broadway, Denver, CO 80216 in the Hunter Ed Classroom. Enter through the North Gate and drive between the Headquarters building and the Northeast Region Office. The Hunter Ed Classroom is in the large building at the back of the parking lot. Lunch and light snacks will be provided
