Fri 05/08 - Mon 05/11 @ 09:00 AM to 03:30 PM
Habitat Project
Volunteers are needed each day to help property technician, Jeff Belveal, plant trees and install protective tree guards. Volunteers should wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions with sturdy closed toed shoes, work gloves, sunscreen, and bring a water bottle with snacks. We will have necessary supplies on hand. However, volunteers could bring these additional items if they have them: shovels, hand trowels, post hole diggers, utility knife, wheelbarrow, garden cart, or wagon. Lunch will be provided each day! We will have large water coolers available for refills. Meeting location: Hugo State Wildlife Area, near restroom facilities. From Hugo, go 14 miles south on CR109; 2 1/4 miles east on CR2G. For those traveling from Colorado Springs, I will try to have a carpool available leaving from the SE region office. Staff Contact info: Jeff Belveal, [email protected], cell 719-740-1812. Cell service may be spotty!
Volunteers Registered: 15 (33 available)This is a multi-day activity. Ensure you are selecting an assignment on the date you intend.
