Help clean up trash at a popular state wildlife area! Keep Lon Hagler Reservoir beautiful, prevent trash from impacting wildlife, and when people see a clean natural space they are more inclined to do their part to keep it clean. This is a great opportunity for folks in the Loveland, Ft. Collins or Longmont areas! Meet Sam Less at north parking lot (see map and directions here: https://cpw.state.co.us/learn/Maps/LonHaglerSWA_geo.pdf). Difficulty: easy. No experience needed. What to bring: Wear sunscreen, and layers appropriate for weather predictions, including sunglasses, a hat, close-toed shoes. Long pants are highly recommended to move through brushy or wet areas. Bring at least 1 liter of water and snacks. Bring work gloves if you have them. We will provide gloves for those who don’t have them, as well as trash bags and staff support.
