Are you interested in participating in the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Bumblebee Atlas pilot project? Come to a training and help us track bumblebees in our special habitat! Data from this community science, collaborative, ongoing project will help Colorado protect our tiniest wildlife. For more information about the project, check out https://www.bumblebeeatlas.org Volunteers will be trained to catch and photograph bumblebees and share data with the BBA. Volunteers are asked to two at least two atlas surveys between June 1 and August 31. No bumblebees are harmed in this process; all bumblebees are carefully handled and released. No special talents are required, but an interest in photography and native plants helps. Please sign up for only one date.
