Join us for Colorado Parks and Wildlife's Next Generation of Volunteers Day! This project is designed with volunteers ages 13-17 and their parent/guardian in mind, but all ages are welcome! Spend the day planting tree saplings and shrubs along the banks of several ponds to stabilize the pond banks and suppress invasive Russian Olive tree growth! Participants should meet at the parking lot at Simpson Ponds at 9 AM and bring water, sunscreen, and snacks. Wear clothes and shoes suitable for hiking and various weather conditions. You are also welcome to bring your own work gloves but we will have gloves for you to use the day of. Additionally, we will provide lunch for volunteers and a couple special Next Generation event goodies! If you need assistance the day of the event, please contact Sam Less who can be reached by phone at (970) 617-3952. We hope to see you there!
