Join us to install a low pressure, drip irrigation system for recently planted trees at Hugo State Wildlife Area to improve important habitat! Volunteers should wear long pants and layers appropriate for the weather conditions, sturdy closed toed shoes, and sunscreen. Bring snacks, a water bottle and sunscreen. Additional items you could bring if you have them: work gloves, shovels, hand trowels, post hole diggers, utility knife, wheelbarrow or garden cart or wagon. Extended weather outlook currently shows ~70 degrees with a chance for rain, unless there's lightning, heavy snow, or other unsafe conditions, we will proceed as planned. Fire danger is likely to be high, so please keep vehicles off of grassy areas. Lunch will be provided, funded by Great Outdoors CO, and we will have a large water cooler for refills and Gatorade available. Let us know ahead of time if there are any dietary restrictions.
