Clean Up Project

Help clean up trash at Chatfield State Park! Clean up days are easy to do and have a high impact - picking up trash keeps this popular park beautiful, protects wildlife, and when people see a clean natural space they are more inclined to do their part to keep it clean. This project is for OIT staff and their family and friends! If you would like to bring friends or family but don't want to create an account for them, just email Tabitha Wolery-Langland at [email protected] to let us know how many people you're bringing. No fee is necessary - just tell the entrance gate that you're here for a volunteer project. Meet at the Audubon Nature Center Parking Lot. See attached for a map of parking lot. Difficulty: easy to moderate. No experience needed. What to wear and bring: Wear sunscreen, and layers appropriate for weather predictions, including sunglasses, a hat, long pants, and close-toed shoes. Bring at least 1 liter of water and a lunch (we'll take a break halfway through the project to eat lunch together, and then continue with the project). Bring work gloves if you have them. We will provide gloves for those who don’t have them, water to refill your water bottles, and as well as trash bags and staff support.
