Are you interested in participating in the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Butterfly Monitoring pilot project? Come to a training and help us track butterflies in our special habitat! Data from this community science, collaborative, ongoing project will help Colorado protect our tiniest wildlife. For more information about the project, check out https://butterflies.org/science-and-conservation/butterfly-monitoring/ Volunteers will be trained to evaluate habitat, identify butterflies and share data with the CBMN (Colorado Butterfly Monitoring Network). Volunteers are asked to two at least three surveys between June 1 and August 31. No butterflies are harmed in this process. No special talents are required; beginning volunteers will identify and count butterflies in broad categories and learn as they go. Please sign up for one of the two dates.
