Clean Up Project

Each year the Fountain Creek Watershed District leads a watershed-wide cleanup effort over the course of 9 days called Creek Week. Now in it's 13th year, partnering organizations, community groups, and every day individuals like YOU have worked to remove 150+ tons of debris from our waterways! Why? Because everyone lives downstream! Colorado Parks and Wildlife will host a clean up site that will start from the parking lot at Goose Gossage Skate Park on Mark Dabling Rd and clean up along the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail and the adjacent Monument Creek. Participants should wear sturdy shoes, work gloves, and bring plenty of water. A pocket knife may be useful to cut away plastic or other debris that has wrapped itself around rocks. Trash bags, trash grabbers, a limited supply of gloves, and some special prizes will be available! All ages are welcome! Please encourage your family, friends, and neighbors to attend, as these projects are always better with extra hands!!
