Fence Removal Project in Area 9 - on Radium State Wildlife Area, Hartman Unit If you enjoy getting outdoors and don’t mind doing some hard work and possibly getting a little dirty, then this volunteer opportunity is for you! We are looking for volunteers to assist with a fence removal project to improve wildlife habitat on the Hartman Unit of Radium State Wildlife Area. Saturday, May 16 - Colorado Public Lands Day 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Driving Directions: North of Wolcott, turn at State Bridge (CO Hwy 131 and Trough Road). Travel northeast on the Trough Road 13.4 miles to County Road 102. The meeting location is at this intersection. From Kremmling, drive south on Hwy 9 to the Trough Road. Travel southwest on the Trough Road 13.5 miles to County Road 102. The meeting location is at this intersection. Parking is at the intersection of Trough Road and CR 102. (The meeting location will be 39° 57' 58.76" N 106° 30' 14.70" W.) Google Maps can use this location for directions. 9:00 am Meet and brief on work day 9:00 - 3:30 pm work to remove fencing Lunch is provided 4:00 pm Wrap up for the day - debrief Please be prepared with: long sleeves, pants, hats, eye protection (sunglasses or other eyewear), sturdy boots, work gloves, a water bottle, and other appropriate layers for the outdoors. This location is at 7,200 feet in elevation and has fairly flat terrain.
