Wildlife Transport Team Training  - Colorado Springs (Area 14) Office

Tuesday, 04 March 2025 @ 05:30 PM to 07:00 PM

Orientation or Training

Our Wildlife Transport Team (WTT) helps bridge the gap between injured and orphaned wildlife that is found by staff (or from the public), to the licensed rehabilitators that care for them! This work literally helps save countless lives, but can also be difficult and heartbreaking when some don't make it. With this training you will learn about how CPW responds, how to handle wildlife safely, along with other best practices. The WTT offers a flexible schedule, and you respond only to the calls that you are available for, but please note the majority of calls are during office hours of M-F 8am-5pm and we do ask for a 30 min response time! Transporters are responsible for using their own vehicles and gas costs are not reimbursed. Training will be held in person at the SE Region Office Classroom located at 4255 Sinton Rd, Colorado Springs. The classroom is located on the backside of the building, look for the triple glass doors marked "Classroom" to enter. If you are unable to make it in person and would like a virtual option please email me at [email protected]
