Description:

This spectacular mountain park consists of 71,000 acres and the largest moose herd in Colorado! At 8,000 plus feet in elevation.

Campground hosts help make the park run, they are the backbone to State Forest State Park, and are typically the first person and last person a visitor will see on their way out of the park. 

Volunteer responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting campers
  • Light maintenance
  • Cabin and camp site maintenance
  • Cleaning fire pits.

 

Time Commitment:

20 - 25 hours per week per person.

Volunteer at a beautiful remote mountain park. Well known for being the moose capital of Colorado! Free full hookup campsite - valued @ $46/day - in exchange for 20 - 25 hrs volunteer service per week.

Amenities:

Water, sewer, electricity, and propane.  No WiFi.  Minimal cell service.
