The Fruita Section of James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park offers volunteer Campground Host opportunities March through November. Currently, there is an opening for July 2025 to Early October 2025.
We are seeking hosts with a wide variety of skills and experiences!
Hosts are involved in the following:
Should be in good physical condition and enjoy working with the public.
If you are new to the Colorado volunteer program, please create a profile and select the opportunities you are interested in. Applications are accepted year-round, however, positions are typically filled by December for the following summer. Uniform shirts and hat provided.
Pairs, families, and individuals accepted, and hosts are permitted to have pets.
Minimum of 20 hours per person per week (or more). Shifts are 5 days on, 2 days off working, 8 am until sites are cleaned, usually between 12 and 1 pm.
2 months, March through November. Current 2025 openings: August 1st through September 31st (updated 11/4/24)
Host(s) will receive a campsite (water, sewer & electric) in return for a minimum of 20 hours/week/person.
Offer a free 50 amp spot, close to a variety of outdoor rec opportunities, close to local wineries and vineyards.
