Description:

Lake Pueblo, rated a fishing “hot spot,” provides over 4,600 surface acres of water, 60 miles of shoreline and almost 10,000 acres of land. 

Responsibilities:

  • Answer visitor questions
  • Sell firewood
  • Turn firewood money into visitor center
  • Clean fire pits
  • Upkeep campsites
  • Keep campground litter free
  • Additional tasks as needed

Site elevation: 4,700 ft.

Looking for 4 hosts for the 2024 season! Pairs, individuals, families with children, and people who are still working/in their careers (e.g. working remotely) are all accepted. Hosts are permitted to have pets.

Time Commitment:

20 hours per week per person, May - September.

Minimum time commitment: 3 months

Desired time commitment: 5 months

Volunteer Benefits:

Land recreation includes hiking, biking, picnicking and diverse nature exploration. Miles of trails make it easy to discover the beauty of the shady Arkansas River below the dam or the wonder of 200-year-old Juniper trees.

Amenities:

In exchange for volunteer service, hosts receive a free campsite.  Campsites include full electrical (30 or 50 amp), water, and sewer hook ups. (Juniper Breaks will receive sewer services as a replacement.)
