The Island Acres Section of James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park is seeking hosts with a wide variety of skills and experiences! Hosts are involved in cleaning campsites, selling firewood, assisting in the park office and assisting visitors with park questions. Should be in good physical condition and enjoy working with the public. Special projects may be assigned based on the skills and interests of the volunteer and the needs of the park. Contact the Park Ranger listed for additional information. Applications are accepted year round, however, positions are typically filled by December for the following summer.
Amenities: Full hookup campsite with 50 amp electricity is offered in return for volunteer service. Cell service is available.
Site elevation: 4,700 ft.
Pairs, families, and individuals accepted, and hosts are permitted to have pets.
24 hours per person per week. Time commitment is 2-5 months, April through September.
Flexible schedule with options to assist with maintenance and/or the visitor center, in addition to camp host role. Hosts receive a free, 50 amp campsite while serving at a state park that is close to a wide variety of outdoor recreation opportunities, not to mention the proximity to local wineries and vineyards!
